United Way of Colquitt County has awarded our first Community Impact grant to address needs in our community relating to health issues. 

Helathy Colquitt Coalitiom will provide a Mobile Farmer's Market that will travel into "Food Deserts" in our community providing healthy fruits and vegetables for families as well as cooking demonstrations utilizing the foods given out that day. 100 residents/families will receive produce on each distribution day.

A "Food Desert" is an area that lacks access to affordable fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat milk, and other fooods that make up the full range of a healthy diet.
